Philoxenia

Philoxenia (noun) is defined properly as the "love of strangers," an "eagerness to show hospitality," or an "act of hospitableness and welcome".

In Genesis 18, we are given the first example of Christian hospitality:
"My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant"Â
Perhaps the most notable feature is the language signaling to the desperation of Abraham to serve the Angels of the Lord. He runs to meet them. He hurries Sarah to the flour. He promises them a morsel of bread and sets out a feast.
As husband and wife, we prayed to carry this spirit into our own home.Â
For all of our gatherings to say:Â I'm glad you came. I thought of you. Stay.
Our goal with Philoxenia is to extend this sentiment, through our chapters.

Whatever gathers you,
we would be honored to run out and meet it.

It Starts in the Morning
The morning of a wedding is often an overlooked part of the day, yet it sets the tone for everything that follows.
Our morning-of offerings bring a more considered approach to the traditional spread, with thoughtfully curated selections that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
Because every detail of the day deserves to feel intentional- the first coffee to the last dance.
For Her
The early days of motherhood ask so much of the body.
Our postpartum baskets are created to nourish and replenish, with wholesome foods selected around the nutritional needs of the postpartum period and, when applicable, breastfeeding.
A beautiful collection chosen specifically for her, on the days when being cared for matters most.
Just BecauseÂ
For the moments that fall somewhere between an occasion and an ordinary Tuesday.
Our monthly menu brings a rotating selection of small bites made for sharing, gifting, gathering, or simply having something good on hand. A new menu is announced the first Tuesday of each month, with orders available for Sunday pickup.
No occasion necessary. Just something delicious to look forward to.

Our Philosophy
By hand, from the heart:
Everything is made from scratch- from our logo to our food. Amidst the era of AI and shortcuts, we've chosen the slower path: original ideas and a human hand in everything we create.Â

Sourced with intention, beautiful by design:
Presentation is never an afterthought.
